How can I attend a Book Party? Why would I want to?
You will be provided with a list of GREAT books (some that our past students have loved and some that are new). Read JUST ONE of the book choices for each month, pass the quiz with at least a 60, and submit the Book Party form to Mrs. Jordan by the due date. You MUST read the book THIS YEAR. It can NOT be a book you tested on last year. Read something you haven’t read before. You may, however, read ahead. For example, once you have read and tested on a book from the September selection, you may go ahead and read a book from the October selection, etc. Also, you may read a sequel to a book on the booklists...that book may count for your "book party" book. Just make sure it has a quiz.
IF YOU DO NOT SEE A BOOK ON THIS LIST THAT MEETS YOUR LEXILE NEEDS, SEE MRS. JORDAN FOR ASSISTANCE.
REMEMBER…….for THESE books, you may read BELOW your Lexile but don’t read too high ABOVE your Lexile.
We want you to pass the RC QUIZ!
WHY WOULD I WANT TO COME TO BOOK PARTY?
*Private lunch in the library....it's a chance to eat lunch with the friends you don't normally get to eat lunch with.
*Sweet treats (Cosmic Brownies and more) provided
*YOU WILL RECEIVE EXTRA CREDIT IN YOUR LANGUAGE ARTS CLASS FOR ATTENDING BOOK PARTIES!
*Music provided!
