Independent Reading Program:
Sims Middle School encourages all students to read independently outside of the classroom. According to individual classroom policies, teachers will assess students on their completion and comprehension of these books. Your child should be reading his/her book every night. Please take an active role in questioning your child about the books he/she reads.
Important note: Individual teachers have additional requirements concerning acceptable books for their program. Each teacher sent home a letter at the beginning of the year detailing these requirements.
