There are two ways to access the eBooks.
1. Through Classlink: Open Classlink Select the e-Books app; Select MacinVIA.
OR
2. Download the App called MackinVIA to your phone or tablet. It looks like the picture on the left. When you open the app, it will prompt you to provide the following information:
School- Begin typing Sims Middle and you will see Thomas L. Sims Middle, Pace, FL appear. Click on it to enter it in the box .
User ID and Password– Enter the SAME username and password you use to sign on to the computers at school every day.
Then hit the Login button.
To find our eBooks, select the 3 lines on the left of screen. To narrow your search, you can search by CATEGORIES (purple tab). We also have a variety of nonfiction books that you can browse by selecting other tabs located under the SEARCH icon.
Once you find the book you want to check out, tap the DOWNLOAD button. Now you will be able to read the book when Internet access is not available. An eBook can only be downloaded onto one device at a time, and it will
only be available on that particular device.
To remove the eBook from the device, tap RETURN. You may only check the book out for 2 weeks. After that period of time, the book will automatically be returned unless you renew it. You may only renew a book once.
What devices support the MackinVIA app and eBooks?
The MackinVIA app is available for Android smartphones and
tablets (such as the Samsung Galaxy Tab and MotorolaXoom);
iPhones ,iPod Touch, iPad, and Mac desktop;
Windows desktops and laptops;
Nook HD and Kindle Fire HD tablets

*Santa Rosa County Public Library System gives you free access to many eBooks. Simply have a parent call 850-981-READ (7323) and request an ecard to get you going. Santa Rosa County residents who do not have a library card can call the libraries (981-READ) to get a temporary eCard. Next year’s SSYRA books should now be available here.
*Teachingbooks.net has been added in Classlink. Check it out to find resources to do your own book club....
